Heart of Greed Reviewokay. its definitely a big hit with hong kong citizens whom i think are especially fond of such dramas with the screaming, the arguing, killing each other for the family's assets...etc. but some may find all that annoying. it was quite nice, but i admit. while i was watching, the only scenes i looked forward to were bota scenes. :X this kind of plots can probably keep the hong kongers interested, but not us. don't you find this plot familiar? revolving doors of vengeance remake? sure, but with a nicer cast.
to me, under it's close-to-perfection is problems. there are plenty of them. don't believe? look below.
#1- Yoyo Mung, Tavia Yeung, Natalie Tong has too small roles!
Yoyo Mung is usually the female lead in dramas, tavia and natalie are not bad either. tavia should have gotten a bigger role with her standard. as for natalie, i didn't expect a big role, but i didn't expect a role thaaaaat small. :(
#2- Ha Yu and Moses Chan's acting is WEIRD!
their acting is weird and dramatic. i do think moses fitted the character well, but um... the laughter is just.... creepy!
#3- too big a cast!
frankly speaking, heart of greed could do without tavia's sister-in-law, the girl that plays kusamochi and sad to say, natalie tong.
#4- the love square.
the love square between Moses, Linda, Raymond and Yoyo is very boring. and its always repeating.
#5- Linda Chung cries too much!
SOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYING! would they just cut down a bit on her crying scenes? i'm sure if they did, the show wouldn't be 40 episodes long. probably just 38. :(
#6- RAYMOND LAM
Raymond Lam is supposed to be a guest star. tavia and bosco are the real cast. end up? raymond lam, the so-called guest star, has more scenes than tavia or bosco. what?!

Best Actor: Moses Chan & Raymond Lam
their acting is quite convincing. except the laughing part.
Best Actress: Michelle Yim
her quarelling scenes with susanna kwan were nice as well and i felt she fitted the character perfectly. <3
Most Improved Artiste: Tavia Yeung
not because she's my favourite actress, but because she really improved on her crying skills. when she lost her baby, the way she cried broke my heart... :,(
Favourite Character: duh, who else but Jackie and Gilbert? :D
Best Scenes: bota scenes
Rating: 7.5/10
watch if you never get bored of dramas about fights over family assets.
